All too often people don’t take legal advice until their employer has already commenced a process that could lead to an unwelcome outcome. With the right advice and timely intervention, the employer can often be dissuaded from continuing the process.
On other occasions, the employee may have a legitimate grievance they wish to raise, but they are fearful of the repercussions for doing so and do not know how to approach the matter. Early advice allows the employee to plan their approach and direct the dispute in the direction most conducive to their goals.
Instinct can be a good indicator so if something does not feel right, then it's probably time to secure professional advice from an experienced practitioner.
